1) Caps will be fed in a Cap Elevator at a time, about 2500-3500 caps can be put in the cap elevator. Cap elevator will align the cap and place the caps on the belt conveyor. There will be a Sensor on the belt conveyor that will Start-Stop the Cap Elevator as and when required. This feature helps in energy savings.
2) Caps will be bifurcated in 2 lanes and will enter the Star wheel for the EPE liner insertion. Here a Sensor will check for the presence of the cap and only then it will pick up the EPE liner. In absence of the Cap, the pick and place operation of EPE liner will halt. The NO CAP NO WAD arrangement will be done with the help of PLC programming. Rest all the sensors are hard-wired in the system independent of the PLC.
3) The machine consists of a Vibratory bowl (optional) for the EPE liners along with a Linear Liner Reservoir. EPE liners can be loaded in the vibratory Linear reservoir from where EPE liners will be dropped in the vibratory bowl from there they will enter the Liner stacker from there they will be picked one by one and placed inside the cap.
4) The Linear Vibratory Reservoir, Vibratory bowl as well as the Liner stacker assembly will be made of SS 304. The vibratory bowl will be made in such a way that its assembly can be adjusted so that even Induction Wads can be placed in the stacker assembly without using the vibratory bowl. A reflective mirror will be placed above the vibratory bowl to see the presence/quantity of the EPE liners in the bowl. The linear vibratory reservoir will be fitted with an optical height sensor which will Start-Stop the linear vibrator depending upon the liners in the vibratory bowl. The Linear Vibratory Reservoir can accommodate about 2500-3500 EPE liners.
5) Once the EPE liners are inserted in the caps, the caps will continue on the belt conveyor. Here a sensor will check for height. If there are no EPE Liners or double EPE liners inserted, then there will be a difference of height and such caps will be rejected using an Air jet gun.
6) At the end of the conveyor will be a counter which is settable up to 6 digits. Once the set number is achieved, the machine will stop. Alternatively, A diverter can be provided that will divert the cap from one direction to other. So that the cap collection can happen in another box without stopping the machine.
